  Novel applications to increase  throughput and resolution of FFE separations are now available:

  • Increased fieldstregth of >800V/cm allow separation speeds of less than 1 Minute
     
  • New gap size, down to 0.175 mm offers new dimensions of resolution
     
  • New wall material allows to keep the separation chamber closed for five days  of operation
     
  • Electrophoretic sieving in polymer solution allows native purification of protein complexes and separation by size
     
  • Ultra flat pH gradient IEF separation for high resulotion native isoform purification
     
    Results are published in the ‘Applications’ section.

    Existing instruments can be upgraded to get the benefits of the recent techological developments

Free Flow Electrophoresis is a versatile technology to support key  applications for protein analysis:

The FFE system provides  researchers with a tool to reduce the complexity of samples and enrich low abundant proteins with highest reproducibility. Furthermore, FFE provides  a fluid-phase fractionation of cell organelles, proteins and other charged or chargeable entities on a fast, preparative and continuous basis.
